Other Activities

If you fancy a day or two off the slopes, then there's a lot more to do than hang around in the sauna and hot tub back at the chalet.

Paragliding

Ski off the edge of the mountain with a paraglider on and float slowly and gently around the resort with fantastic views of Mont Blanc, the Dents du Midi and all the way down to Lake Geneva. An unforgettable experience. Generally done in tandem on the same chute as the guide, but solo runs are available for the more experienced.

Ice Skating

There are two ice rinks, one inside and one outside near the tourist office. Morzine also has an ice hockey team that regularly plays at the Palais des Sport. They have ranked relatively well in the French national league for the past few years.

Cross-country Skiing

The extensive hiking trains in summer double as cross-country ski routes in winter. These weave all over the Morzine-Avoriaz and Portes du Soleil region

Tobogganing

There is an area near the Crusaz lift specifically set aside for tobogganing. There is also a bob sleigh course that is open during the evening when floodlit night skiing is on. You ride up the cable car and bob sleigh down again.
